 Your tasks 

As a Software Engineering with Ops focus you will be working as Ops champion in a cross-functional software engineering team. Besides your focus on the development of new features, improving the codebase and the overall quality you will:

  • Define DevOps strategies and foster best practices across the entire organization

  • Be the Ops champion inside a cross-functional team

  • Foster a NoOps culture inside the Sentryc engineering org

  • Be part of a culture that enables learning from failure and shares knowledge across the entire team

  • Align across the entire engineering team to assure the usage of standardized tools for both monitoring and logging

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on deployments, processes, and standard operating procedures/run-books


 Requirements 

  • From design to operation, you develop and own your microservices
  • Excellent software development skills 
  • Experience with different CI/CD pipelines and strategies 
  • Deep knowledge of AWS’s products and services 
  • Experience with infrastructure as code solutions
  • Deep knowledge of containerization and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in managing and hosting SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Proficient English language skills
  • Deep knowledge of Java/Kotlin and/or Python


  Nice to have  

  • Hands-on experience in BDD
  • knowledge of IT security concepts
  • Experience with Infrastructure testing and/or chaos engineering
  • Practical work experience with event driven architecture and/or microservice architecture
